Ramadan apps: 17 picks for fasting, Quran, duas and zakat
Ramadan changes your whole day: suhoor before Fajr, iftar at Maghrib, more Quran, more dua, and zakat for many. These apps help with one or more of those. They’re all listed on HalaLaunch, a launchpad for Islamic apps by Muslim makers. Seven were launched by their makers and reviewed by hand, including a halal-content check; ten are unclaimed listings HalaLaunch added from the app stores.
By Khaled Ahmed, founder of HalaLaunch Updated . Based on each maker’s listing.
What is the best app for Ramadan?
It depends on what you want help with. To log your fasts and the ones you need to make up, try Five Prayers or Taubat (iPhone). For one app with prayer times, Quran, a Ramadan fasting tracker and a zakat calculator, try IslamTools (iPhone) or Mubin (Android). To finish the Quran with family or friends, Nukmil splits the 30 juz among a private circle. For Ramadan duas, Dua & Ruqyah has a Ramadan, sehri and iftar category. All are free to start.

Ramadan app FAQs
What is the best app to track Ramadan fasts?
Five Prayers logs Ramadan, voluntary and makeup fasts on a calendar and records Fidya. Taubat helps you work out the fasts you owe and track them as you make them up. IslamTools has a simpler Ramadan fasting tracker.
Which app shows suhoor and iftar times?
Hush has a fasting timetable with suhoor and iftar times. The prayer-time apps here (Al-Azan, Muslim 360, Vakti, IslamTools, Mubin, Itabah) give Fajr and Maghrib for your location with adhan alerts, and Azkarly lets you shift each time to match your mosque.
How can I finish the Quran in Ramadan?
Nukmil splits the 30 juz among a private group and shows who has read what. Kitaby shows each day’s share of your khatma goal, and Taubat builds a khatam plan from the verses you actually read.
Are there free Ramadan apps with no ads?
Yes. Five Prayers, IslamTools, Al-Azan, Vakti, Nukmil, Dua & Ruqyah, Azkarly and Wird are free with no ads, according to their listings.
Which Ramadan apps work offline?
Al-Azan never uses the internet. Vakti works offline after you pick a location, Wird runs fully offline, Nukmil’s personal reading is offline, and Hush’s core features work offline. Shifa Quran and Azkarly play downloaded recitations offline.
Is there an app to calculate zakat?
ToolSphare Zakat Calculator works in any browser. IslamTools, Mubin and Itabah (with live nisab values) have one built in.
How we chose
Every app here is listed on HalaLaunch. We picked the ones whose store or launch listing names a Ramadan use: fasting, prayer times, finishing the Quran, duas or zakat.
